This article explains how to use the Callout Block in Momenta to highlight important information inside a content object. Callouts are used to draw attention to specific text using visual formatting such as borders, larger text, and bold styling.
Use & Purpose
The Callout block is designed to make important messages stand out in a content object. It wraps the text in a bordered container, enlarges the font, and applies bold formatting.
Common use cases:
- Highlighting key instructions
- Emphasizing deadlines or due dates
- Drawing attention to safety tips or best practices
Callout Layout Types
When inserting a Callout block, you’ll be prompted to select one of the following layout options:
- Basic: A standalone callout centered across the content width
- With Secondary Text (Float Right 30%): Text box on the left, callout takes up 30% on the right
- With Secondary Text (Float Right 40%): Same layout, but callout spans 40% of the right side
- With Secondary Text (Float Right 50%): Equal-width layout—callout and text each take up half the screen
This floating layout allows authors to display contextual explanation next to a highlighted message.
Configuration Settings
- Insert a Callout Block from the content editor's block menu
- In the configuration panel, choose your layout type from the dropdown
- Enter your content using the rich text editor (text, links, formatting allowed)
