Add and Reuse Content

This article explains how to add or reuse content from the Standard Collection or another client collection in Momenta. You can either copy content (to edit it) or link it directly (to stay synced with updates). Follow the steps below based on your use case.



Overview

Momenta has a library of prebuilt content in the Standard Collection that can be added to your journeys. You can either:

  • Link it directly – keeps the content up to date if global changes are made
  • Copy it – allows for edits, but breaks link with future updates

If you plan to customize the content, always notify your Project Lead or Account Manager, as it may affect delivery timelines.


Copying Individual Activities

  1. Go to the Standard Collection tab from the Admin App menu
  2. Find the desired content item (e.g., a Hexagon activity)
  3. Click the 3-dot menu on the item > Select Copy
  4. Choose your client collection and folder
  5. Optionally rename the activity (e.g., “Resilience Hex – Client A”)

Note: Two items cannot share the same name. If the name already exists, the copy will fail.

Copied content will show a “Copied from master” tag.


Republishing Copied Content

Copied content must be republished or it will appear blank when viewed live in a journey.

  1. Open the copied content item
  2. Make a small change (e.g., open a text block and close it)
  3. Click Save and Publish

If you forget to republish, the journey will show a blank placeholder instead of the content.


Linking Content Directly

  1. Navigate to the Journey Flow
  2. Create a new activity and give it a title
  3. Choose Linked content item
  4. Select from the Standard Collection tab
  5. Click Save & Publish

Linked content stays connected to global updates. Only use this option if you do not need to customize the content.


Reusing Content from Another Client

You can reuse content from another client’s journey if the structure and flow are similar.

  1. Find the source client collection and copy the content using the same steps as above
  2. Paste into your client’s folder
  3. Rename and republish as needed

Copied content from another client behaves the same as Standard Collection content: it won’t update unless you recopy it later.
