Action and GoDos

Modified on Wed, 6 Aug at 5:15 AM

This article explains how to create and manage Go-Dos and Actions in Momenta. Both features reinforce learning and encourage behavior change through participant commitment.

Overview

Momenta supports two types of commitment blocks:

  • Action: A self-directed commitment created by the participant from the Actions tab
  • Go-Do: A defined activity authored by the program, with clear instructions and due date logic

Participant-Created Actions

  1. In Journey Configuration > Nav & Page Builder, drag the Actions tab into the left-side menu
  2. Save and publish
  3. Participants can now visit the Actions tab and click Create Action
  4. They must select a Theme to categorize their action

Link Themes to Actions

  1. Go to Journey Configuration > Themes
  2. For each relevant theme, toggle Enable for Actions to ON
  3. Save and publish
  4. Check that themes appear in the "Select Theme" dropdown when participants create actions

Prescribed Go-Dos

  1. Create a new content object and enter the editor
  2. Drag in the Go-Do Commitment block (under “Other”)
  3. Click Edit Go-Do Commitmentand complete:
    • Journey Script ID
    • Title and Description
    • Commitment Message
    • Theme assignment (optional)
    • Set as required (optional)

Configure Go-Do Due Dates

You have two options for setting due dates:

Date Picker

  • Fixed: Set the same due date for all participants
  • Participant Editable: Participant chooses their own date (recommended default is a future date)

Date Offset

This assigns a dynamic due date relative to another event, such as:

  • Cohort Start
  • Stage/Module/Activity Start
  • Stage/Module/Activity Open

Offsets can be in hours, days, or weeks, before or after the trigger event.

Instructions & Results Content

Optional content objects can be linked to Go-Dos for more guidance or follow-up.

Instructions Object:

  • Displayed when the participant clicks Instructions in the Actions tab
  • Can be set to “current content object” or another resource

Results Object:

  • Displayed once the Go-Do is completed
  • Can contain feedback questions or next steps
