Create and Configure Resources

Modified on Wed, 6 Aug at 3:39 AM

This article explains how to create, configure, and manage Resources in Momenta. Resources are content objects that participants can access outside the structured flow of the journey, such as helpful guides, PDFs, and links. They must be enabled with themes and surfaced in the journey navigation.

Introduction & Purpose

Resources are always-available content objects used to support participants with extra materials like job aids, templates, or support documents. They are authored like any other content object but require theme tagging and navigation setup to display in a journey.

Prerequisites

  1. Create or copy a content object into your client folder.
  2. Save and publish the content object.
  3. Create at least one Theme at the client level to associate with your Resource.

Setting Up Resources

  1. Open the content object and toggle ON “Resource” under settings.
  2. Add a Theme to the content object (must match one created at the client level).
  3. Save and publish the content object.
  4. Go to Journey Configuration > Themes
  5. Enable the theme(s) for Resources by toggling ON.
  6. Go to Nav / Page Builder and drag the Resources tab into the journey’s navigation.
  7. Save and publish the journey configuration.

Resource Filters & Language Settings

  • Resource Filters: Allow users to filter resource content based on content type (from content settings).
  • Enable Language Filter: Only use if resources are NOT available in all supported languages for your journey. This is rarely needed.

How to Remove a Resource Filter

  1. Navigate to Journey Configuration > Themes
  2. Option 1: Delete all themes associated with that filter
  3. Option 2:Toggle OFF both:
    • Enable for Resources
    • Enable for Actions
  4. Click Save and Publish

Once toggled off or deleted, the filter will no longer appear in the Admin UI or the participant-facing resource view.

Watchouts & Considerations

  • Changes require both content object and theme config to be published
  • Unused filters will persist unless all themes are cleared or toggled off
  • Don’t forget to add the Resources page to Nav / Page Builder, or participants won’t see them
  • Verify filters after updates — old ones can clutter the participant UI

Visual Aids

  • Enable Resource Toggle and select a Theme in Content Object Settings

  • Enable Resources in Theme Settings

  • Resources Tab in Nav/Page Builder
