This article introduces the custom template feature in Momenta Admin. Templates allow authors to rapidly build content by inserting pre-designed layouts into content objects. Each template includes pre-populated headers, media blocks, layout suggestions, and can be edited like standard content blocks.

Overview

Templates in Momenta Admin are designed to streamline content creation by providing prebuilt blocks with recommended layouts, text, images, and media. These can be added to any content object and edited like standard blocks.

Templates live in a hidden panel accessed from the content authoring toolbar.

How to Use a Template

Create a new content object inside your folder
In the authoring view, locate the multi-layered icon below the content block and layout icons
Click the icon to open the Template panel
Browse the 12 available templates and click one to insert it
The template will appear directly below your most recent block
Edit blocks within the template as needed (text, media, inputs, etc.)

Templates can be freely rearranged, edited, or removed after insertion. Each block acts as a normal editable content block.

Watchouts

Templates with text input blocks default to a 250 character limit
Changing the character limit requires replacing the block manually — it is not easily editable
Ensure templates are added in the right content sequence (templates cannot be inserted at arbitrary positions)
Review accessibility settings (e.g. alt text, placeholders) when using prebuilt media
