This article explains how to use the built-in Export Raw Data functionality within Momenta’s Dashboard & Reporting section. This allows you to download an Excel-compatible (.csv) file directly—without needing to request help from the Data team or wait for a custom dashboard.

Introduction & Purpose

The raw data export tool provides journey-level data directly to users via the Momenta Admin interface. This was developed to empower project teams to analyze engagement, completions, and timing without relying on the Data Team.

Use Case: A JSM launching a new leadership journey wants to review completion trends across modules in real time.

Target Audience

JSMs: Can initiate data downloads from Journey Configuration
Admins: Manage permissions, storage, and audit logs
Consultants: May request or review exported data
Facilitators: Can receive the data if shared by JSMs

Export Instructions

Step-by-Step:

Open the Momenta Admin portal
Navigate to your Client Collection and open the desired Journey
Click Journey Configuration → Dashboard & Reporting tab
Select the Journey Data sub-tab
Click Download Raw Data
A modal will appear with:
- Progress bar
- Journey title reference
- Ability to minimize and keep working
Once complete, the download begins in your browser

File Format & Structure

Format: CSV (Excel-compatible)
Tabs: One per data “cluster” (mirrors Power BI logic)
Content: Includes journey, stage, module, activity, cohort data, completions, timestamps, and custom fields
GDPR: Format supports secure upload to BOX

Watchouts & Considerations

Data Privacy: Files include all journey data—follow BTS privacy policy when sharing
BOX Upload: You must manually upload to BOX after download
Audit Trail: All downloads are logged (who/when)
Permissions: BOX access is not automatically granted—contact it@bts.com if needed
