This article explains how to kick off a new project in Momenta, including how to request a new client collection or journey, set up the participant application, and access admin permissions. It also includes starter templates for scripting content into Momenta.

New Project Request Process

To start a new project—particularly if the client does not yet have a collection or participant app—submit a request via the official Smartsheet:

Once submitted:

The Momenta support team will create the client collection if it doesn't exist
The participant app will be set up (e.g. https://clientname.btsmomenta.com)

Region-specific Notes:

Europe: A member of the Build Team will join your internal kickoff and fill out the form for you
North America: A Momenta Advisor can fill it out after internal alignment

Additional Guidelines:

Blank fields in the form will default to BTS branding (logo, colors, etc.)
Existing collections will not be overwritten or updated unless specifically requested
Admin roles like Content Author or JSM will be provisioned if included
Most settings (except server, name, URL) can be adjusted later
New collections are typically created within 2 business days

Requesting Admin Access Only

If you only need admin access to an existing client collection:

Email momentasupport@bts.comand include:
- Your name and email
- The client collection name

Reminder: Client projects must be built in client collections only.

BTS collection: Internal programs only
Demo collection: Safe for demos, not for live participant data

If you're unsure how to structure content for a journey, here are three recommended templates to get started:

1. Momenta Journey Digital Outline (Excel)

Helps organize the full journey flow: Stages → Modules → Activities
Designed for collaboration between PL/Consultant and the Momenta builder

2. Momenta Script Template (Word)

Best for SMEs already familiar with Momenta components
Allows you to specify layout elements (e.g., 2-column, images, blocks)

3. Momenta Source Document (Word)

Designed for newer consultants or SMEs with mostly text-based content
Can be open-ended or include suggestions for layout, interactivity, etc.
Tip: If you have a specific vision, be explicit — otherwise the builder will use best judgment
