This article explains how to configure MBIR v2 (Mindset-Behavior-Impact Reflection) in a Momenta journey. MBIR v2 helps participants define coaching goals and reflect on progress, with data accessible and editable by coaches via CoachOS. It is most effective when paired with Bench Feedback to track behavioral shifts over time.
Setting MBIR v2 for Success
- Add MBIR in both the first and last coaching sessions (not just one)
- Use only for 1:1 programs — not suitable for Pods or Workshops
- Ensure Coaches are familiar with MBIR before rollout
- Link MBIR with Bench Feedback to gain deeper behavioral data
Configuration Instructions
Step 1: Add MBIR as an Activity
- Go to the journey flow
- Add a new activity in a stage or module
- Select MBIR v2 as the activity type
Step 2: Customize the MBIR Setup
- Name the activity (e.g., “Set Your Coaching Objectives”)
- Only one MBIR v2 object can be added per journey (includes Round 1 + Round 2)
- Toggle on Impacts & Results customization if needed
- You can add, edit, or remove options (max 13 each)
Step 3: Add the Second MBIR Activity
- Add another MBIR activity in the final coaching session
- Set it to “Review your MBIR” (auto-linked to Round 1)
- No need to reconfigure Impacts/Results—they auto-sync
Step 4: Save & Publish
- Click Save then Publish your journey
- MBIR data will sync automatically with Coach OS
Coaches will see the MBIR in their Coaching Platform and can make updates directly. Reports can be downloaded later from Coach OS.
Support & Troubleshooting
If MBIR isn't working correctly:
- Confirm Momenta and Coach OS journey configuration match
- Ensure participant emails match in both platforms
- Check the Journey ID is the same across systems
- Verify that the activity is configured correctly in the flow
Tip: Visit the participant’s My Coaching tab to check if MBIR data is storing. If no data is saved, you may have found a bug — contact Momenta Support.
If needed, the Coach can manually launch and save MBIR from their CoachOS view — it will sync automatically.
User Reset in CoachOS
If a user needs to restart MBIR:
- Open the participant’s cohort in CoachOS
- Find the participant and go to the Objectives tab
- Click the refresh icon next to their MBIR to reset
This will erase all previously entered MBIR data for that user and allow them to restart.
