Bench is a feedback collection tool used to measure participant progress on behavior shifts. It is typically tied to MBIR goals and is available as a custom content object in Momenta journeys. Bench supports 1:1 coaching programs and is not recommended for PODs or workshops.

Setting Bench Up for Success
- Use Bench at the start (post-alignment session) and end of a coaching journey to capture change
- Best for 1:1 coaching—not recommended for PODs or Workshops
- For longer journeys, consider a mid-point round (only if there's a 5+ month span)
- Connect Bench to behavior goals captured in MBIR V1/V2 to strengthen insights
Configuration Steps
Step 1: Create a Bench Content Object
- Go to your journey folder
- Click (+) → select New Bench Feedback
- Fill out:
- Name: Bench Feedback Tool
- Description: Explain the purpose of Bench
- Language: en-US
- Number of Rounds: Recommended = 2
- Min. Behaviors: 1 or 2 is ideal
- Fixed Behaviors: Only toggle ON if predetermined
- Approval: Choose Coach or Line Manager
- Min. Responses for Results: At least 3
- Email Templates: Customize both LM/Coach and Rater email copy
- Button Label: e.g., Launch Bench Feedback
- Click Create
Add Bench to a Journey
- Open the journey where Bench should be added
- Click “Add Activity” in the relevant stage/module
- Select Activity Type → Content Object
- Give the activity a title (e.g., “Collect Bench Feedback”)
- Add duration (e.g., 10–15 minutes)
- Click Save
- Click the activity and choose Link Activity
- Select the Bench content object → Choose Round 1
- Repeat if multiple rounds are used
- Click Save and Publish
Support & Troubleshooting
If a participant or cohort is not seeing the Bench activity work as expected, check the following:
- Verify system link:
- Journey IDs match in Momenta and CoachOS
- Email addresses are consistent
- Check activity configuration: Number of rounds, approval logic, etc.
- If needed, reset the user from the participant profile screen
Reset Options:
- Reset Bench Data: Clears all Bench responses and approvals
- Reset Journey Data: Wipes the user’s full journey progress
User Reset Options
- Go to Participants
- Search and open the user profile
- Select the journey in question
- Choose:
- Reset Bench Data – Clears only Bench activity
- Reset Journey Data – Full reset
This allows you to cleanly restart Bench Feedback in case of testing errors or setup changes.
