Step-by-step instructions to initiate and configure a new client project in Momenta, including the kickoff request form, client collection setup, and participant application.
Overview
This guide outlines the process to kick off a new client project in Momenta, including creation of a new client collection or journey, setting up the participant application, assigning permissions, and accessing key support resources.
Kickoff Request Process
To initiate a new project, the Account Manager (AM), Project Lead (PL), or Momenta Advisor must submit a request via the official Smartsheet form:
Note: For European projects, the Journey Lead from the EU Digital Solutions Team will typically attend your internal kickoff meeting, complete this form on your behalf, and ensure the client setup is handled appropriately.
Creating the Client Collection
- This form is required if the client collection doesn’t already exist or the participant application hasn’t been created.
- Upon submission, the Momenta Support team will:
- Create the new client collection
- Initiate participant application setup (e.g.,
https://clientname.btsmomenta.com
)
- Fields left blank will use BTS defaults (logos, colors).
- Watchout: Existing collections won't be modified unless explicitly requested—this prevents disruption to live environments.
- Admin user permissions (e.g., Content Author, Journey Success Manager) will be assigned per request.
- Most configurations (except server, name, URL) can be updated post-creation.
- Setup typically takes 2 business days.
Participant Application Setup
- Participant applications are created with the client collection.
- Provides a live URL for journey access (live or test).
- Format:
https://clientname.btsmomenta.com
Accessing an Existing Client Collection
If you only need admin access (and not a full new setup), request it via: momentasupport@bts.com
Ensure that your team—especially journey builders and advisors—has participant access via a test cohort to validate the journey before launch.
Watchouts & Considerations
- Client projects must be run from client collections only.
- BTS Collection: Only for internal programs.
- Demo Collection: For test/demo purposes only — not for real participant data.
- If in doubt, confirm your setup with your Momenta advisor or helpdesk contact.
