Customize the Login Page

Modified on Wed, 6 Aug at 2:32 AM

This article outlines how to customise the login page for a client collection in Momenta. The login page is often the first user-facing experience and can be configured to support SSO-only login, self-registration, language selection, and more.

Introduction & Purpose

The login page is configurable to meet different authentication needs, align with branding, and support client-specific requirements. Customising this page improves participant onboarding and reduces support friction.

Target Audience

  • Authors: May configure login during client setup
  • JSMs: Ensure the right authentication experience is delivered
  • Consultants: Should be aware of branding/SSO limitations and best practices

Customisation Options

  • Background Image: Upload a branded login background image.
  • Email Field: Toggle on for standard login, or off for SSO-only.
  • Password Field & Login Button: Disable for SSO-only access. If disabled, the email field must also be disabled.
  • Languages: Allow participants to choose their language, or restrict to English-only.
  • Forgot Password: Toggle to enable password reset functionality. Note: This does not reset SSO credentials.
  • Register: Enable participant self-registration (e.g., for events or open access programs).
  • Get Help via Salesforce: Deprecated – not recommended for use.

Accessing Client Settings

  1. From the Admin App, go to Client Collection.
  2. Search for and select the client name.
  3. Click Open in the right-hand detail pane.
  4. Click Settings (top-right corner).
  5. Navigate to the Colors & Appearance tab.
  6. Scroll down and expand the Login Page section.

Watchouts & Considerations

  • If using SSO only: Disable both the Email and Password fields.
  • To bypass SSO: Click the Momenta icon at the bottom right of the login screen to access the default email/password login screen.
  • SSO users cannot reset their password via the "Forgot Password" option—this applies only to standard Momenta logins.

Visual Aids

  • Client Settings > Open Client Collection

  • Colors & Appearance > Login Page Section

  • Login Page with All Options Enabled

  • Login Page with All Options Disabled
