Create a Journey

This article outlines best practices for creating a new journey in Momenta—either by starting from scratch or by copying from the Standard Collection. Before building, we recommend exploring other journeys for ideas and inspiration.

Select your client from the Client Collection to begin. For the purposes of this guide, we’ll use the Demo client.

Our client will be: Demo.

• Name the folder to match the journey name for clarity and consistency.
• Click into the folder after creation—this is where your journey will live.

Inside the folder, click the + icon next to Journeys.

You’ll see two options:

• Create New Journey — start from a blank slate
• Copy from Standard — use prebuilt content from the Standard Collection

• Select Copy from Standard to open a list of available journeys.
• Use Preview to open and inspect the journey contents in a new tab.
• Click Select once you've confirmed the appropriate journey.
• Enter a new journey name and optionally add a description.
• Click Create to process the request. A new journey tile will appear once ready.

Note: Verify that all tagged resources copied over correctly.

• Click + next to Journeys, then select Create New Journey.
• Complete the following fields:
  • Journey Name
  • Description
  • Default Language(s)
• Click Create to generate a blank journey shell for content building.

• Use clear and client-specific naming for both folders and journeys.
• Explore the Standard Collection for layout ideas and naming conventions.
• Build inside a test cohort to validate functionality before launch.
• Tag all resources correctly—especially after copying—to ensure nothing is missing.
