Global UI (Unified Interface)

Modified on Wed, 6 Aug at 2:29 AM

The Global UI is BTS’s updated participant interface that provides a seamless experience across Pulse, Momenta, and Isomer. This consistent and mobile-responsive layout improves accessibility, removes visual inconsistency, and ensures participants only see content relevant to them.

Introduction and Purpose

The Global UI replaces legacy participant layouts with a modernized interface that:

  • Delivers consistent UI across Pulse, Momenta, and Isomer
  • Follows WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
  • Is fully mobile responsive
  • Removes the need to reauthor or redesign journeys for visual alignment

Target Audience

  • Participants: Automatically see the new UI if granted Global Access
  • JSMs: Responsible for toggling Global UI on per participant
  • Authors: No content changes required; may preview participant UI
  • Facilitators: Will see consistent layouts across sessions
  • Consultants / Project Leads: No action needed

JSM Setup Instructions

  1. Log in to Momenta Admin
  2. Navigate to Participant Setup
  3. Search for the participant’s record
  4. Change UI Type to Global UI
  5. Click Save and refresh

Author Guidelines

  • No reauthoring or reconfiguration is required
  • You may preview the journey as a participant (via test cohort) to confirm display

Participant UI Behavior

Experience TypeUI Behavior
Single JourneyLeft-hand navigation; top bar with logo and profile; logo links to Journey Landing Page
Single PulseNo side menu; top-bar only
Multi-ExperienceDynamically displays only available journeys or simulations

Use Case Examples

  • A participant assigned to both a Pulse simulation and a Momenta journey will see one unified UI with shared top-bar, profile menu, and mobile-friendly layout.
  • A Pulse-only user sees only top-bar navigation without side menus.
  • A participant with multiple journeys will see each of their assigned journeys under a consistent layout and color scheme.

Watchouts & Considerations

  • Only available to users with Global Access.
  • No logout option in sidebar—use profile dropdown under SSO avatar.
  • Legacy Momenta UI remains active for participants not toggled to Global UI.
  • No backend action is needed for facilitators, consultants, or content authors beyond participant-level setup.
