This article explains how to use deep links in Momenta. These links take users directly to a specific activity within a journey. Deep links are useful when referencing specific content in email reminders, client reviews, or as internal shortcuts within the journey itself.
When to Use a Deep Link
You might want to use a deep link in the following scenarios:
- To send a participant directly to an activity via email (e.g., reminder to complete a task)
- To link from one activity to another within the journey (e.g., for reference)
- To share a specific activity with a client for content review or approval
Note: Deep links differ from general journey URLs—they link to a specific activity, not just a page or section.
How to Create a Deep Link
- Open Momenta Admin
- Search for the client, and open the relevant journey
- Click the three-dot menu next to the journey > Edit Journey
- Inside the journey, locate the specific activity you want to link to
- Click the three-dot menu next to the activity > Create Deep Link
- A pop-up window will appear with the link — click Copy
- Paste and share the link where needed
Reminder: After generating the link, always click Exit and Unlock to release the journey for other editors.
Tips & Best Practices
- Deep links are only valid for activities that are visible to the user (i.e., the activity must be unlocked)
- Always test the link before sending to clients or participants
- If you are using a deep link in an automated email, confirm that the recipient has access to the journey and is in the correct cohort
